ActionMen came together in 2001 as an Italian "boy band" with a distinctly twisted edge. With Libe (vocals, guitar), Teo (guitars, vocals), Diego (bass) and Carlo (drums), their average age of 15 was definitely all they had in common with the Top 40 set.
Having worn out two drummers, in 2005 they found someone who could keep up with them, Mattia "Pinna", formerly with the Hormonauts. In August/September of the same year, they recorded their first LP, with producer Riccardo "Paso" Pasini.
But as with all great bands, it's the drummer who is the first casualty and Snico is now the man holding it all together, with Pinna remaining a spiritual member of the group.
Their genre can be best described as melodic hardcore with lashings of funk, thrash-metal, garage rock and more thrown into the mix; "post-melodic hardcore", if you will.
Since forming, the ActionMen have toured, extensively, across Italy and Germany, releasing two demos along the way.
Having recently signed with Canadian label, Unicorn Records, it's time for the rest of the world to catch up with ActionMen, as their 2005 recording, "The Game" will be unleashed on the world with BellsOn Records publishing the record in Japan.

Gli ActionMen sono attivi dal 2001 ed i fondatori sono rispettivamente Libe (voce - chitarre), Teo (chitarre - strilli - voci armonizzate) e Diego (basso). Frequenti i cambi di line-up nel settore batteria: prima Carlo (ex ShutEye) poi Chicco (ex Divi di Beverly). Nel 2004 si aggiunge alla formazione Pinna (alias Mugna), che si rivela l'anello mancante della macchina ActionMen.
Il genere proposto e’ principalmente un Hard-Core Melodico, ma con enormi (a volte quasi prevalenti) influenze come Garage Rock, Thrash Metal, Power Funk ed altro. Potrebbe essere coniato come Post Hardcore Melodico demente. Pur non avendo all'attivo dischi ufficiali la band e’ presente in molte compilation (graves records,akom prod., Eska records, sbanda-tv, Downloader) ed inoltre ha vinto diversi concorsi nella regione (in finale a Faenza Rock 2003, vincitori di Around The Rock 2004, e secondi al Marina di Ravenna Music Contest 2003).
Nel 2005 gli Actions vengono reclutati dall' Angenzia Manageriale Alkemist Fanatix di Carlo Bellotti, il quale riesce a ingaggiare la band con una delle maggiori indie Progressive d'oltreoceano: la Unicorn Records.
Il fatto di non aver prodotto alcun album fa sì che il complesso musicale suoni live principalmente come "Guest" (trovando le date come meglio può) passando piuttosto inosservato: tuttavia nel 2006 riesce a sfiorare i 30 concerti, per lo più in centri sociali e clubs di tutto il nord italia (daipiù belli come Rock Planet e Vidia ai più infimi e sporchi squat).
Sempre nel 2006 si è aggiunto alla combriccola anche Nicola Santi (alias Snico) virtuoso batterista e volenteroso a supportare ulteriormente il quartetto.. così Pinna già ultraimpegnato con gli Hormonauts lascia lo sgabello, tuttavia restando ancora come membro spirituale.
Il disco esce a febbraio 2007, con una tiratura iniziale di 2000 copie per l'america e l'europa; per il mercato nipponico la Bells-On Records (Adhesive, Straightaway) ha ottenuto la licenza per un ulteriore stampa di 1000 copie.
